DETAILS: Discuss how Interaction Design/Information Architecture fits into Internet New-Product Development (iNPD)—the invention, analysis, definition, and design of new Web products or whole new web businesses. Learn how the Interaction Design/Information Architecture discipline has been dominated by metaphors and assumptions from advertising/marketing that aren’t appropriate for designing highly functional web applications, and learn about (very briefly) a new, state-of-the-art framework for designing business-critical Web applications and Web sites that takes what’s good from traditional web design and augments it with necessary components from management consulting and software engineering.
